Trigger Shift

Trigger Shift was a Cultural Olympiad project with young people in the North East of England which developed creative and open uses for interactive technology. We developed interfaces that were open, widely accessible and completely intuitive to use, through gesture and movement. It was a year long participatory design and technology project involving dancers, programmers, musicians, theatre makers and a group of young people recruited openly.

The project ran from September 2011 for a year, and was a part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad in the North East.

The artistic team included Memo Akten, Ed Carter, Tom Schofield, Annie Rigby and Amy Golding

The project was delivered in partnership with Culture Lab, Dance City, BRASS Festival, the Regional Youth Work Unit, Arts Council England and the Cultural Olympiad.
